Safari roads are very different from highways. Drivers deal with rough gravel, seasonal mud, river crossings where permitted, wildlife on the tracks, long distances between towns, and remote areas with limited services.

An experienced driver-guide knows how to adapt to changing road conditions while keeping the journey safe and comfortable, and just as importantly, how to respond calmly if something unexpected happens.
